Joint Committee on Transport and Communications to discuss the Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Region

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 4 May, to continue discussion on the Draft Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area 2022-2042 at 1:30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House. 

The meeting will be in 2 sessions and the Committee will hear from in:

Session 1

·       Anne Graham, CEO National Transport Authority (NTA)

·       Hugh Creegan, Deputy CEO National Transport Authority (NTA)

Session 2

·       Ray Coyne, CEO Dublin Bus

·       Feljin Jose, Chairperson of the Dublin Commuter Coalition

 

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Kieran O’Donnell said: “The Committee is looking forward to the discussion and engagement on the Draft Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area 2022- 2042 to ensure that realistic provision is made for a sustainable, accessible and effective transport system in the Greater Dublin Area in a manner that serves the needs of urban and rural communities, supports economic growth and meets climate change requirements.”

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
