Joint Committee on Transport and Communications to discuss the Government’s draft Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure strategy

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 13 July, to discuss the Government’s draft Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure strategy at 1:30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House. 

The Committee will hear from:

·       Officials from the Department of Transport

·       Representatives from Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI)

·       Representatives from Electricity Supply Board (ESB)

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Kieran O’Donnell TD said: “The Committee looks forward to this discussion with the stakeholders on the Government’s electric vehicle strategy. We hope to gain insight from those tasked with providing this infrastructure on how the service is being rolled out and how they are responding to the challenges posed.”

The meeting in Committee Room 2 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
