29 Samh 2022, 14:12

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 30 November, to discuss the Committees’ consideration of Ireland’s National Aviation Policy at 13:30 in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.

The Committee will hear from Ryanair Group CEO, Michael O’Leary and Eddie Wilson, CEO of Ryanair.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Kieran O’Donnell TD said: “tomorrow’s meeting follows on from our Committee’s recent visit to Schiphol and Rotterdam airports as part of our consideration of Ireland’s National Aviation Policy.

“We have held discussions with the Director General of the International Air Transport Association Mr Willie Walsh on the Aviation Sector and the Dublin Airport Authority has been before the Committee in regard to recent aviation issues.

We will seek to gain Ryanair’s insight on how the industry is responding to the current challenges and how they feel the Irish Government can best work with the sector to improve the experience for aviation companies, employees and customers.”

The meeting in Committee Room 2 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.

Committee proceedings can also be viewed on the Houses of the Oireachtas Smartphone App, available for Apple and Android devices.
