The Joint Committee on Health will meet on, Wednesday, 1st February to discuss services for the treatment of cancer and in particular waiting lists for cancer treatment at 9:30amam in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Seán Crowe TD said “the meeting tomorrow is a timely opportunity to allow the Committee to hear from the Irish Cancer Society on its perspective on the challenges that cancer patients generally experience in the Irish health system. We will also hear what services are in place for cancer patients and what is being implemented and planned to address the waiting lists and other challenges in cancer care, both short and long-term from the Health Service Executive.”
