Joint Committee on Health to meet to discuss the welfare and safety of workers and patients in the public health service

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Seán Crowe TD said “tomorrow’s meeting sees the Committee hearing from those stakeholders predominantly on the frontline of the Irish health service. We will hear their perspectives on the significant challenges that workers and patients experience within our health system. 

We will seek to gain insight into what actions and services the Irish Medical Organisation, the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, Fórsa and SIPTU suggest be implemented to address these challenges and to best serve both workers and patients of the Irish health service.”
