Sub-Committee on Mental Health to discuss the publication of the Mental Health Commission’s interim report on the Review of the provision of child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS)

The Committee will welcome representatives from the Health Service Executive (HSE) to discuss the interim report conducted by Inspector of Mental Health Services Dr Susan Finnerty from the Mental Health Commission.

Ahead of the meeting Committee Cathaoirleach Senator Frances Black said “The report of the Mental Health Commission raises serious concerns about the very important mental health service being offered to children and adolescents. The Sub-Committee looks forward to hearing of the HSE’s response to these concerns, and how it proposes to address the short-comings”.
