Joint Committee on Health to meet for discussion on the HSE’s National Service Plan 2023

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Seán Crowe TD said “tomorrow’s meeting with the Health Service Executive will give our Committee the timely opportunity to delve into the National Service Plan 2023 published earlier this year. The Plan outlines the health and social care services to be provided this year. A budget of €21.124bn for this purpose has been allocated, which is 5.7 per cent above last year’s starting budget. We will welcome the HSE’s perspective on what is to be implemented this year to improve the Health Service of Ireland, address the many issues that continue to be raised by the Committee, and deliver an improved experience both for patients and for those working in the service.”
