The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications will meet with representatives from Transport Infrastructure Ireland tomorrow, Wednesday, 28th June, to discuss toll increases and on-going projects at 1:30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.
Committee Leas-Chathaoirleach Senator Gerry Horkan said: “ahead of the scheduled increase in toll charges on the M50 and eight other motorways on July 1st, our meeting tomorrow will allow our Committee to directly engage with the State roads operator, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) to get as much detail as possible on the decision. We will look to TII to outline why, after the 6 month delay imposed by the Government, the increases are still necessary.
The Transport Committee will also be engaging with Transport Infrastructure Ireland on other on-going projects.”
The meeting in Committee Room 2 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.
The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
Committee proceedings can also be viewed on the Houses of the Oireachtas Smartphone App, available for Apple and Android devices.
