Joint Committee on Health to meet for consideration of matters arising from the annual report of HIQA for 2022

The Committee will hear from representatives from the Health Information and Quality Authority. 

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Seán Crowe said “the meeting with HIQA tomorrow will give our Committee the opportunity consider the Authority’s annual report for 2022 and the key issues arising in its work to improve the quality and safety of Ireland’s health and social care services. Members will also wish to raise matters arising from HIQA’s ongoing inspection and monitoring of acute and community healthcare settings across the State, and in particular the need to bring about improvements in the quality of services.”
