The closing date for applications from transition year students for a chance to take part in a Seanad debate is 5pm this Friday, 29 September.
The students selected to participate will have the opportunity to develop their confidence to present in front of an audience. They will also get an insight into the role of the Oireachtas, gender equality, the role of civil society in democracy, and the legacy of the women who fought for the vote.
The debate will be part of the Vótáil100 programme of events to commemorate the centenary of women’s involvement in parliamentary politics.
