Education Committee commences Pre-legislative scrutiny of the general scheme of the Higher Education Authority Bill, 2021

Speaking in advance of the meeting, Cathaoirleach, Paul Kehoe TD, said: “The Committee will commence the important work of scrutinising the General Scheme of the Higher Education Authority Bill, 2021 through the pre-legislative scrutiny process. The Committee looks forward to having an informed discussion with the key stakeholders, getting their input and feedback which will help the Committee in its examination of this very important proposed piece of legislation.”

The meeting at 3:30 pm will be broadcast from Committee Room 4 of Leinster House.

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
