Oireachtas Committee meets with The Community Foundation for Ireland and Coiste Na NIarchimí

The Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement will hear from representatives from The Community Foundation for Ireland and Coiste Na NIarchimí at a meeting today, Thursday, 7 October in Leinster House, Committee Room 1 at 1:30 pm.

Session 1 – 1:30 pm - The Community Foundation for Ireland

  • Denise Charlton, Chief Executive, The Community Foundation for Ireland
  • Frances Haworth, Head of Grants, Donor Care and Impact, The Community Foundation for Ireland
  • Paddy Kelly, The Children's Law Centre (NI)

Session 2 – 3:30 pm - Coiste Na NIarchimí

  • Michael Culbert, Director, Coiste Na nIarchimí
  • Thomas Quigley, Treasurer, Coiste Na nIarchimí
  • John O’Hagan, Coiste Na nIarchimí

Speaking before the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Fergus O'Dowd TD said: “Our meeting today will be in two sessions, first with The Community Foundation for Ireland and the second with Coiste Na NIarchimí. The Committee will hear from the Foundation on their philanthropic collaborations.”

The Cathaoirleach added: “The Committee will also have the opportunity to hear from Coiste Na NIarchimí and the work they do as a co-ordinating body for groups and projects throughout Ireland.”
